Embroidery is one of the special trades of the Red Dao. They acquire silk thread and cotton fabric from other local tribes and use these materials to make their traditional embroidered clothing. In this way, the local minorities rely on one another. You will learn to use traditional fabrics, patterns and techniques.

Itinerary
- • 8:30-9:30 departure to Sapa.
- • Arrive at Ta Phin (traditional Dao village) where you can see the daily activities of the Red Dao and Black Hmong minority tribes’ groups.
- • Go pass Sapa market on the way to your host home where you’ll prepare the threads and begin the lesson.
- • Enjoy a local lunch, freshly prepared and using village ingredients.
- • Observe a silversmith crafting traditional jewellery.
