In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City became known for the craft beer scene. If you are a craft beer lover and want to try all the city’s unique beers, even if you have a limited amount of time, this is the tour we tailored for you.

Highlights:

  • Enjoy the unique taste of craft beers that has local flavours mixed in them
  • Explore the craft breweries scene in Ho Chi Minh City
  • See the colourful Ho Chi Minh city when the sun goes down

Itinerary

  • 5:30pm hotel pickup within city centre to head to our first location, Rooster Beers at Chicken Coop in the Backpacker District. Rooster Beers has the plainest beers but that’s all part of their brand with names like: Blonde, Pale, Dark, Wit, IPA, and Pilsner.
  • Next, head to C-Brewmaster, the only one first started by a Vietnamese brewer. You can try some truly funky beers with Vietnamese ingredients like Pho Essence, literally made with the spices and herbs that go into Pho. Others include Sticky Rice Stout, Vietnamese Litchi IPA, Belle Passion Fruit, Ginger Genie, and Cool Mint Pale Ale.
  • You’ll then arrive at Winking Seal Beer Co. Taproom, great craft beers in a cool and colourful setting with a loveable mascot Sealy, named after the co-owner’s childhood stuffed animal.
  • Try the Mekong Mashup Summer Ale, 6.7 ABV, 22IBU with the sweet malt profile and Belgian yeast to bring refreshment and a sweet finish. If you are a fan of caramel malt flavour with a creamy mouthfeel and subtle finish, try the Kaptain Kenny Irish Red. The brewery also has a great various choice of delicious tapas from Bacon Mac & Cheese Pucks to crispy Chicken, Bacon & waffle Bites, to mouth-watering dessert of mascarpone cheese mixed with espresso and even some rum called Baby Fasto Dry Stout
  • Move on to Pasteur Street Brewing, the first craft brewery of its kind which opened up the floodgates for Vietnam’s Craft Beer Revolution. The brewery provides beer crafted with all the fantastic local fruits and flavour of Vietnam. Some of the Vietnamese flavours featured are Jasmine from Sapa, Marou Chocolate from Tien Giang, Passionfruit from Dalat and many more being skilfully merge with classic American Craft brewing recipes.
  • Last destination is the infamous BiaCraft Artisan Ales, boats to have “the most extensive collection of craft beers in Vietnam”, and they weren’t exaggerating about it. From durian, payaya, dragon fruit, breast milk fruit, and the Buddha hand citron fruit to name a few, BiaCraft Artisan Ales collect all the unique regional ingredients to create unprecedented craft beer recipes.
  • With funky names such as Don’t F*ck With Me with a 5.4% ABV and 40 IBUs, with its sweet note as a result of the light malt, a mild citrus finish rather than lingering bitterness, it’s one of the most popular one among the beer drinkers in Saigon. Try Fifty-Two Triple Z (Bơm Vú Đủ Xài) Hard Cider, a combination of apple, papaya, breast milk fruit, mango, and star apples. This hard cider is fueled by fruit, making it a hit with female costumers for its slightly sour brew without the bitterness.
